Deceased Name: ANN GALLOP CHERSON Ann Gallop Cherson, 87, former Duluth resident died
Thursday, June 14, 2001, in Anaheim, Calif. She was born in Duluth and lived here until moving to
southern California in 1963. She was a member of Tifereth Israel Synagogue
and was active in the PTA. She enjoyed singing in the ''Mother's Chorus'' and
was past president of the B'nai Brith Women in Anaheim. Also, while living in
Duluth she was employed at Gershgol's, First Street Department Store,
Oreck's, Tots To Teens and Bud's Apparel. She was a devoted wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be remembered for her love of music, dancing and especially for her
wonderful baking skills. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie
Gallop; her husband, Max in 1996; brothers Benny, Louie, Sammy and Chuck
Gallop. Surviving are a daughter, Lorrayne (Aaron) Glazman of
Scottsdale, Ariz.; sons Gerald (Dee) Cherson of Las Vegas, Hersh (Grace)
Cherson of Yorba Linda, Calif.; grandchildren Charlie (Cindy) Glazman, Neil
(Barb Russ) Glazman, Randi (Roger) Simon, Lori (Matt) Griffin, Shari Cherson
and David Cherson; great-grandchildren Les Glazman, Lindsay and Jordan Simon,
Megan Griffin; a sister, Rose Polinsky; a sister-in-law, Pearl Sigel; and
many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Tifereth Israel
Cemetery, located on Howard Gnesen Road just north of Calvary Cemetery.
